Original Gangsters is a browser based Crimes, Gangs and Drugs themed RPG
Game Objective
The aim of the game is to simply have fun and enjoy playing it.
Nevertheless, there are many game-related areas in which players can shine and achieve greatness.
For some, the aim is to become the leader of the most powerful Gang in the game.
For others, it's all about the levelling up race. Other goals possible: being the driver with most races won or fastest lap, controlling the most wealth, having the highest player stats, executing the most hitman contracts, running the strongest Drug Factory, owning most of the 180 game City sectors.
Game Economy
The game economy in Original Gangsters is complex and requires time and strategy to set up a decent passive daily income.
You start the game with just a small amount of pocket cash, depending on the Character Profile you choose.
It is enough to get a basic car and basic weapons, but you should not spend all your money right away.
Crimes
Petty Crimes are the basic source of income but they provide very little money.
They run based on cooldown timers, counting the time between next possible attempt.
Shoplifting, Purse Snatching and Hobo Jumping crimes can net you items which enable you to run Organized Crimes.
Organized Crimes provide much better income but they run on One-time use items, so you can only do them if you have the required item.
Casino
At the Casino you can earn money by gambling.
You can wager on the horses, the payout odds are higher than the risk odds, so mathematically you will be making a long term profit on Horse betting.
Weekly Lottery has an added prizepool of 10000$, so it’s worth buying the tickets, as you might win really big.
Daily Giveaway allows you to find free cash and other valuable items.
First Income Sources
In your first 2 days, your major source of income will be milestone rewards, which will give you 1000$ per level, until level 10.
Reaching level 10 is quite easy, all you have to do is commit the basic Petty Crimes.
The lowest Petty Crimes have between 1 to 2 minutes cooldown, so in fact you can reach level 10 within just 8-10 hours of play.
You can see the full list of rewards in the Game Prizes section.
Starting Tips
Drug Factory construction costs 25000$ and takes 24 hours.
Early on, you want as many freebies as you can get, so consider buying "The Begger" upgrade at the Dark Alley after you've already used your Daily Giveaway.
This upgrade gives you an extra use for that day!
Remember to bid on all 3 auctions daily, as those can result in very fortunate findings.
Don't be too eager to spend your cash in weapons or cars early on. You will soon receive both of them via milestone rewards. Be patient.
Keep in mind that making money is not easy and people will not eagerly just help you randomly.
In fact, there is almost no way of transferring cash between players. That however should not discourage you, as cooperation is key to strive.
Consider joining a Gang to get more advice, access to other perks (Garage and Weapons related) and possibly a helping hand from your Gang mates.
Drug Factory
Drug Factory is an important source of money making in the game. You will receive 10 thugs for free when you build it.
They will be producing drugs, even while you are offline. You just have to assign them to Production squad.
When your factory has produced some drugs, you need to withdraw the drugs from the factory and then you can visit the local Drug Market, where you can sell your drugs.
Drug Prices vary between each City and they change twice a day. Therefore, there is an opportunity to withdraw / buy drugs in one city, fly to another city and sell for a higher profit.
However, be aware, when you carry drugs, each time you use the airport to fly to another city, you risk getting caught for smuggling and losing all your drugs.
The potential highest margins can be up to 30%. Even more if you can time and successfully pull off Drug Trafficking crimes on the city you intend to sell.
It's a high risk, high reward area of the game. When well managed, it can skyrocket your wealth.
Businesses
Once you have the basics figured out, the next step in getting wealthy is to buy businesses. You can own up to 10 of them.
Businesses give two types of income, and both of them are taxed according to the city you built them on.
First is the basic daily income which is fixed and it's awarded at 0:00 game time.
Second income is from Satisfaction Services, whenever someone actually visits your business to receive Satisfaction points.
Finally, a good way of making money fast is to purchase Credits and then sell them to other players for cash, using Private Auctions.
The value of Credits are always increasing as more players play the game and generate more in-game cash in circulation.
Auctions
Auctions are a great investment, as you can usually win the auctions with 200$ bids, or 500$ in case of lockers, if you get them when nobody else has bid on them.
The rewards inside can be worth up to 20000$, and most of the time you will receive really useful stuff.
Main auction can provide higher tier weapons or specific skill exp points.
Antiques have a great value and can be equipped to provide boosts during battles.
Moreover, the antiques can be exchanged as collections at the Museum.
The rewards for collections can be very valuable: cash, items, Special Points and even special items like Morphine Shots and Bribery Cards.
Lockers can contain nothing in the worse cases, but usually they contain a mix of multiple types of rewards.

Player Stats
There are 5 basic player stats in the game. These stats are used in combat.
- Damage – influences the damage you inflict on enemies.
- Speed – influences who attacks first and also if you can manage to run away from a fight.
- Accuracy – influences how often an attack lands on the enemy.
- Intelligence – supports damage and armor stats usage.
- Armor – influences damage absorption and reduction of the incurred health loss.
The main way to increase stats is by converting Special Points at the Upgrade Center.
Stats can also be found in the daily giveaway, although they are rare.
Player Skills
There are 8 player skills available in game. Each skill gives advantages in different game areas.
Every skill is capped at level 10.
Players can gain exp points for a certain skill by converting special points at the Upgrade Center.
The conversion rate is 10 exp per 1 special point.
Additionally, exp can be gained from various gameplay actions or be found / won in the casino and auctions.
- Driving – makes you perform better on the racetrack. Driving Exp is awarded for racing.
- Crime – unlocks more Petty & Organized crimes, as well as reduces the timers on the crimes.
- Gunsmith – gives weapons a better boost from modifications at the Gang's Gunsmith Shed.
- Mechanic – gives cars a better boost from modifications at the Gang's Mechanic Workshop.
- Law – reduces jail sentence when you get caught by the police.
- Chemistry – increases the drug output in your drug factory.
- Accounting – reduces profit share given to your thugs when you sell Drug Packages.
- Jail Bust-out – increases successful bust-out odds and also reduces time when jailed.
Battles & Attacking
Battles are one of the key ways of obtaining player exp points and thus, leveling up.
To attack another player you must first find their current location in the game. The current location is composed of two parts, City and Area.
To find the City, you can use the Private Investigator, by paying a small fee. This won't work on Conman's with the premium item Leather Cloak activated.
To find the Area, you have to search through the city, by clicking the various links and going to “Visitors in this location”.
We have 15 cities in the game, so that gives 420 unique locations in which the players can be found at.
When you access the Visitors link, it shows the players that are in that Area. This means where the player was last active or is currently active.
When you find someone, you will see the Attack button next to their name.
If the player is in one of the statuses: flying, healing, jailed, in Mechanic's workshop or in Gunsmith's shed, you will not be able to attack.
Attacking other players requires 100 Action Energy.
When you try to attack someone, there are three possibilities:
1) The attack takes place;
2) The attacked player manages to run away, in which case he will be moved to a random Area in the same City;
3) The cops arrest you before you manage to start the attack. The jailing is short.
When the battle starts, one of the players can still manage to outsmart the opponent and run away from the fight.
This is based on a bit of luck, but also on the Speed and Accuracy skills.
If nobody runs away, then both players bitch slap each other. This results in 5 health points loss.
Then the battle takes place in rounds. In each round, both players attack each other.
The speed and accuracy skills determine which player hits first and which player counters the attack.
The damage done during the hit is based on the total damage of the attacking player, minus power absorbed by the total armor of the defending player.
To this, we add the basic damage, which is a fixed 5 damage.
Basic damage ensures that even weak players are capable of doing damage, even if the stats difference is very high.
Additionally, equipment plays a major role in the system.
For every round of attack and counterattack, the system draws separately if any item will be used.
For attacks we have three weapons: Primary, Secondary and Melee.
Depending on what is drawn, it can be any combination of items used: none, one, two or even all three.
Same simulation and draw is done for the two defensive items: Armor and Vest.
If the item is drawn to be used in the round of attacks, its bonus stats will be used in calculating the final damage and armor values.
Please note that each time an item is drawn for use in the round of attacks, it receives +1 use.
Items have a limit of uses, and if the limit is reached, the item is scrapped and removed from the game.
You will receive a notification about it and will have to equip another item in your Equipment.
Also, every use of the item decreases its value.
Player Exp is awarded based on the total health taken from the enemy during the battle. The winner also receives bonus exp.
The player who lost the battle is automatically sent to the hospital for healing.
The healing is free of charge, but the duration of the healing depends on the player levels of you and your last enemy in battle.
Additional bonus exp points are awarded if:
- Your battle took place in a city other than your home city
- There is a hitman contract active on the target
- The enemy was set as the Marked Man of your Gang
- The enemy is in a Gang which is set as your Gang’s enemy
Less exp points are awarded if you attack a player that is in your Gang.
Winning fights gives positive ranking points and losing fights gives negative ranking points.
Gangs
Ranks and Options
A new Gang starts with only a Leader position which has access to a panel for permission customization.
Roles can be created with great granularity so the Leader can create positions which only have access to specific tools.
This allows for better time management in a well organized Gang so that one player isn't responsible for too much.
Recruitment
Gangs can send invites to players, but it is up to the player to decide if they want to join the Gang.
Players can quit the Gang anytime they want. They can also be kicked out by the Leader.
Mechanic Workshop
The workshop is the place where Gang members can spend hours working on upgrading their cars. To work on a car, you need to enter a vacant box.
Then you will see the list of cars that are available to be worked on.
If there is nothing, then you need to drop one of your cars, but it cannot be a car that is active, on private auction or on marketplace.
Cars that are dropped cannot be stolen via Car Theft. They can be withdraw only by their respective owners, nobody else.
Every shift of work lasts 1 hour. You will receive 10 mechanic exp points for the shift.
When the car reaches the required limit of hours, the modification will take place.
There are 4 different possibilities of the modification outcome: 3 add extra stats and 1 adds more races.
Each will be based on the Mechanic level of the player who does the final last hour of the required hours limit.
Additionally, if the car is level 5 and has all upgrades purchased, the car picture and name will be changed too.
More mechanic boxes for simultaneous work can be unlocked when the Gang levels up.
Please note that you cannot enter box with mechanic and gunsmith at the same time, you need to Cancel one to be able to enter the other.
Gunsmith Shed
The shed is the place where Gang members can spend hours working on upgrading their weapons. To work on a weapon, you need to enter a vacant box.
Then you will see the list of weapons that are available to be worked on.
If there is nothing, then you need to drop one of your weapons, but it cannot be a weapon that is active, private auction or on marketplace.
Weapons that are dropped cannot be stolen via Burglary. They can be withdraw only by their respective owners, nobody else.
Every shift of work lasts 1 hour. You will receive 10 gunsmith exp points for the shift.
When the weapon reaches the required limit of hours, the modification will take place.
There are 4 different possibilities of the modification outcome: 3 add extra stats and 1 adds more uses.
Each will be based on the Gunsmith level of the player who does the final last hour of the required hours limit.
The weapons name will receive “Modified” to its name.
More gunsmith boxes for simultaneous work can be unlocked when the Gang levels up.
Please note that you cannot enter box with mechanic and gunsmith at the same time, you need to Cancel one to be able to enter the other.
Marked man
Marked man is a special tool designed for the Gang to choose one particular player in the game that should be attacked by all Gang members.
This option allows to track down the number of kills, reputation taken and drug factory attacks made by the Gang members against the marked man.
Additionally, the marked man will be displayed with a special sign in the Visitors in this location.
Any attack on the marked man will grant 10% more exp points.
Sectors
Any Gang can take over any of the 90 city sectors in the game. To do so, the Gang needs to initiate a sector control mission.
The mission will be exclusive to Gang members.
On the first time a sector is being attempted to be taken over, the mission will be against 5 Mercenaries and 5 bombs.
The mission will display 25 buildings in the sector. They will have either bombs or mercenaries or be empty.
To win the mission, all mercenaries must be found and killed. There is no limit to how many Gang members can participate.
Each participating member will be able to attack 1 building every 5 minutes.
Once the sector is taken over, the Gang will receive daily extortion from all businesses that are setup in that sector.
Businesses owned by Gang members will not pay extortion.
Also, that sector will not be able to be taken by any Gang until the end of the month.
On the 1st of every month, all 90 sectors become unclaimed again.
So, your Gang should get organized to get the most profit out of claimed sectors at the start of each month.
Note however, that claiming sectors closer to the end of month is not worthless.
Their profit will be less, of course, but still well worth it.
My Garage
The is where you can view and manage your cars.
Before you drive your first race, you need to set a car as active. Once the car is active, you can start racing.
Please note that the car cannot be made inactive, it can be only switched to another car you possess as your active car.
You will also be automatically signed up to car tournaments for free, as long as you have an active car.
Cars have a limit of races. When the limit is reached, the car will be scrapped and removed from the game.
You can however reset the number of races driven, at the cost of some credits.
Premium cars and rare cars have much higher limit of races than normal cars.
Cars can level up. The cap for a car level is 5. On every level, there are new upgrades available to the car.
The upgrades can be purchased in the garage.
The car requires 25 car exp points to level up each time. The exp can be obtained from racing in tournaments and underground challenges.
Every car can be modified. Once the car is level 5 with all available upgrades and once the car has reached the required number of Mechanic’s
upgrade hours done in the Gang’s Mechanic Workshop, the car will be modified.
The modification will change the car's name, by adding “Modified” to the car’s name. The car picture will also change to a new racing theme.
Some considerations:
The car you have set as active, can be driven by others that perform the crime Drunk Driving.
All other cars (except Premium ones) that are in your Garage, besides your active one, can be stolen via Car Theft.
Once you drop one of your cars on the Gang's Mechanic Workshop, it will be displayed in your garage but there won't be any options to it.
Voting Center
Voting Center is our key method of advertising the game. We appreciate if people vote on a daily basis.
We currently have 7 voting site partners, but that is subject to change if we see that a certain voting site is no longer functional.
Once you click on a voting link, you will be sent to the voting site to cast your vote.
Some sites require anti-bot verification, which takes a few seconds.
Once you vote, the voting link for the site will disappear, since most sites only allow voting every 24 hours.
As a reward for voting, we give 1 Voting Point for each vote.
Voting Points can be converted to great prizes and resources inside the game: Cash, Special Points, Premium Days, rare cars.
Voting Points can also used to bid on thugs in the Thug Market or traded on private auctions.
Game Alerts
Game Alerts are a form of communication between the game developers and players.
They appear at the top of the screen, on a red stripe. Player can click on the “Notice” button and the alert will disappear.
Game Alerts will be placed if the game is experiencing any technical difficulties or undergoing any live changes.
Also, Raffle winners will be announced this way on a daily basis during the Xmas Raffle.
Special Points
Special Points (SPs for short) are very expensive and a rare game currency.
They are awarded on milestone rewards and they can be won on auctions, found in crimes, lockers, daily giveaway and the junkyard, rarely.
SPs can be converted into basic player stats or skill exp points. 1 SP gives 0.1 basic stat increase or 10 skill exp points.
Satisfaction
Satisfaction affects your crime, battle and racing performance significantly.
Satisfaction is displayed as 0 to 6 stars in the top navigation panel. Below the stars, you have a number.
The number is linked to your player level. It shows how many satisfaction points you need to convert into 1 satisfaction star.
The maximum amount of stars you can get normally is 6.
So, if you are level 50, you will need 50 x 6 = 300 satisfaction points to go from 0 to 6 stars.
For players with Premium Days, the maximum increases to 7.
There are also special situations in which a player can have 7 stars.
This happens when the player:
- Consumes Cocaine Oz
- Consumes Bottle of Scotch
Satisfaction stars fade at a fixed game time. You will lose 1 star at: 0:00, 4:00, 8:00, 12:00, 16:00 and 20:00 game time.
You can obtain satisfaction points from:
- Satisfaction Lane - visiting businesses
- Daily Giveaway
- Numbers Game
- Auctions
Action Energy
Action Energy is used for:
- Committing crimes
- Bidding on auctions
- Searching through the Junkyard
- Attacking or pickpocketting other players
- Starting Live Missions
The maximum is 100 energy.
Action Energy refills 7 points per 5 minutes, or 10 points if you have Premium Days.
Action Energy can also be found in Lockers, Daily Giveaway, Auctions and gained by dumping items in the Junkyard.
There is also a consumable item - Action Boost - which gives a full energy bar.
A temporary excess of action energy is possible, but at the 5 minutes mark the excess will be reduced to meet the maximum limit.
Reputation
Reputation is a way of showing respect or disrespect to other players.
There's no downside to having positive rep but there are definitely consequences to having negative.
When any player reaches -20 reputation points, they will automatically be sent to Federal Prison for 24 hours.
This means they will not be able to login to the game during this time.
This goes to show that if you want to be successful, you'd be smart to make allies.
On the other hand, this is also a great way of bullying your enemies and teaching them a lesson not to mess around with you.
When released from Federal Prison, reputation points reset to 0.
Current reputation can be found in the navigation bar.
To give or take reputation, you need to click on a player’s profile and there you will have the respective buttons for both options.
You can give or take 1 reputation point per day. You can reset this daily by using an upgrade at the Dark Alley.
City Jail
City Jail shows the list of players that are serving jailing time at the moment. The list works worldwide, not city specific.
Players can serve time for being caught during crimes, illegal street racing and street fight and pickpocket attempts.
Jailing times are short, but players can try to get out of jail earlier.
First option is to use a Bribery Card which gives an instant exit.
Second option is to set a bust-out incentive, which will allow other players to try and bust you out.
If they fail, they will end up in jail for the exact same amount of time as you had left when they tried to bust you out.
If they succeed, they will receive the incentive cash you have set and bust-out skill exp points.
Third option is to get bailed out by another player. This is rather quite expensive but gives player exp points in return.
Fourth option is to get the city mayor of the city you are jailed in, to have you released.
Federal Prison
Federal Prison is where we put away rule breakers for a certain period of time.
Apart from that, you can end up in the Federal Prison when you reach -20 reputation points.
This will remove you from the game for 24 hours. While locked up, you can't be attacked.
Equipment
Equipment is where you manage all your gear, consumables, special items and antiques.
The summary will show the total potential bonus stats of your equipped items.
Not every item is always used during combat, so the total bonus stats is a combination of extra stats gained with the luckiest draw of the items used in combat.
You will also see the summary of how many items you possess.
There are 3 different types of equipment:
- Weapons - used in combat
- Consumables – one time use items
- Special items & Antiques - rare items that give bonuses
Weapons divide into 5 categories of items used in combat: primary, secondary, melee, vest and armor.
You need to equip them for combats and they have a limited number of uses.
If a weapon is used in any round of combat, the Uses Left value will decrease by 1.
When it reaches 0, the weapon will be scrapped and removed from the game.
Consumables are one-time use items that have a special effect.
They can influence your crimes, such as resetting cooldowns on certain crimes or give you 7 Satisfaction Stars. Once used, they are gone.
Special Items & antiques can be equipped under Special Items slot in the active equipment. Antiques give stats boosts in combat.
If an antique is equipped under Special Item slot, it will always be used in every combat, as special items have 100% chance of being drawn in battles.
Some Special Items provide specific bonuses in gameplay, such as seeing content of lockers, or dealing extra damage to enemies in combats.
They can also increase the cash and exp gained.
Credits
Credits are the premium currency of the game.
It can be used for trades, purchasing Thugs at the Thug Market, purchasing various items or bundles in the Premium Shop, creating Gangs or expediting construction times on businesses.
Credits can be bought via PayPal in the Premium Shop. Please allow up to 5 minutes for the trade to complete and the Credits to appear.
Due to Credits being a scarce currency, their value is assumed to be always increasing, as in-game cash will be constantly created by the players.
Premium Days
Premium Days are another premium currency of the game, but those can't be traded with other players.
Premium Days can be obtained in the following ways:
- Converting Credits
- Converting Voting Points
- Milestone Rewards
- Museum Collections
- Referral Prizes
- And sometimes on Monthly Prizes
The benefits include:
- Access to Emirates Airlines – the fastest airline in the game
- Exclusive 5 week bank deposit with the highest interest rate
- 3 upgrades in the Dark Alley instead of 2
- 360 minutes attack protection after healing in the hospital instead of 240
- 10 action energy every 5 minutes instead of 7
- Drug Factory raid report will show extra stats, such as factory owner and all factory defense present
- When visiting the Airport, the 3 cities with most players will be highlighted in red
- Default of 4 Satisfaction stars instead of 3
Ranking Points
Ranking points are points awarded to players based on their in-game achievements.
Both positive and negative points can be awarded. Losing a battle or a race gives negative points.
Positive points are awarded for winning battles, winning races and tournaments, gaining levels, which counts for all skills too.
Additional elements influencing the ranking points:
- Hitman contracts
- Horse race wagers
- Numbers game wins
- Jail bust-outs
- Missions
Currently no points are awarded for net worth or wealth related statistics.
The sum of points gained in a single month counts towards the Monthly ranking.
General ranking is based on the sum of all points gained.
Monthly Ranking does not show when points are negative. The bottom displayed value will always be 0.
General ranking shows negative values.
City Mayor Options
City Mayors are accountable for the city that they are governing over.
A Mayor is selected on the first day of a new month.
The current mayor will join the candidates for mayor list for the next month for free.
Running for mayor costs 2000$ but the mayor has great powers:
- Deport a player from the city, up to 10 times a month.
- Release a player from city jail, up to 30 times a month. The player must be jailed in the same city.
- Set the City Tax. This is how much income from business, service avenue and job will be taxed.
- Receive a weekly salary, on Sundays, equal to 1% of the City Funds balance.
Deporting a player triggers flight mode, to the destination city of the mayor’s choice, with the cheapest airliner.
Tax for businesses and service avenue profit is counted based on which city the business is built in.
The tax ranges from 15% to 40%. All the money goes to the City Reserves.
Future option for the mayor will be to spend the money from the City Reserves and build infrastructure in the city.
This will increase the city attractiveness, which will affect the property and land prices in the city.
